2008 NRA Young Retailer of the Year

The winner of the 2008 NRA Young Retailer of the Year Awards presented by American Express® was announced on Wednesday 25th June at the Rewards for Excellence Gala Dinner in Sydney.

The winner was Wade Johnson from Super Cheap Auto.

Now in its 34th year, the Young Retailer of the Year competition is designed to recognise and reward excellence amongst young retailers less than 25 years of age.

Through the judging process, entrants were able to demonstrate and utilise their retail skills and knowledge to showcase their understanding of, and vision for, retail through submitting a personal/career overview and a Store Improvement Plan which required them to choose an area of their store that they felt required improvement and develop a plan that would result in increased performance and benefits for the store/business.

The winner of the 2008 NRA Young Retailer of the Year was chosen from the finalists below:
