The winners of the 27th NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres were announced tonight during the National Final and Telecast held on the Gold Coast.
The fashion stakes are high and the competition fierce as Australia’s material girls and boys vie for the nation’s top fashion honours in the National Final and Telecast of the 27th NRA Fashion Design Awards presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres on Wednesday 19 March.

Feverish sewing and styling, fittings and model casting will occupy the minds of the nation’s designers as they count-down the weeks to Australia’s premier fashion design competition, the NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres, to be held on Wed 19 March.
The 27th Australian Fashion Design Awards presented by AMP Capital Shopping Centres is a national fashion event which provides fashion designers and retailers with an extraordinary platform to showcase their talents to a national television audience.
FIVE of Australia’s brightest new fashion stars will have the unparalleled opportunity to reach out to the shopping public and grow their labels nationally when they appear in the inaugural New Generation Showcase: a highlight of the 27th NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards telecast on Wed 19 March 2008.
Announced tonight…George Wu by George Wu (Qld); Marsha Vetolskiy by Marsha Vetolskiy (NSW); ARTSU by Nik Philpott (NSW); Dhini by Dhini Pararajasingham (Vic); and Story by Tang by Christine Tang (WA), were chosen from a group of 25 talented designers invited to appear in New Generation fashion shows around Australia over the past three weeks.

Exciting new developments for the 27th NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards & Festival
In a bold move the NRA will stage the country's premier fashion design competition - the 27th NRA Australian Fashion Design Awards - on Wednesday 19 March 2008.
Together with our partners including AMP Capital Shopping Centres and Channel 9, the NRA is planning to grow the event in Queensland and nationally and we will soon announce some exciting new developments including an initiative which will see a new generation of creative Australian talents introduced and nurtured.
Industry feedback prompted the event's move to the first quarter of the year. From a retail perspective it is the prefect time for designers to showcase their autumn/winter collections to retail buyers, the public and the media. And it means the event is better placed on the international and national fashion circuit.
