Food Safety Supervisor Training is the first line of defence for your staff who need to be skilled and knowledgeable in Food Safety in order to provide you with best protection in minimising health issues.
Trained staff become the eyes and ears of your workplace, work better as a team and become the first step in active risk management.
This online course is designed to take the risk out of food preparation and is ideal for a range of roles including managers and staff. The program is an essential component in ensuring compliance with Government legislation.
As a result of the Food Act 2006 as of February 22, 2008, all licensed food businesses in Queensland will be required to have a qualified Food Safety Supervisor within the workplace.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this training is to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to undertake the requirements of a “Food Safety Supervisor”. During this program you will examine the legislative requirements of food safety, together with principles relating to prevention and resolution of food contamination and spoilage. The content is based on the relevant Retail and Hospitality competencies together with current legislative requirements.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this program; however, you must have access to a working food environment in order to demonstrate course competency.
Career Opportunities
Hospitality and Retail – supermarkets, convenience stores, grocers, delicatessens, restaurants, hotels, take aways & cafes, catering for private functions, regular markets and stalls.
Food Processing – flour mills, canneries, packers, bakers, breweries, catering for airlines, ice manufacturing, wine production, pre-prepared meals.
We recommend you complete levels 1 and 2 as this will give you the ability to work as a Food Safety Supervisor in both industries.

• Microsoft Outlook or another email program.

Course Completion Timeframes
This program is designed to be completed within 14 days of enrolment. Should you have trouble completing the program in that timeframe please contact the NRA.
Once you have completed the online program, you have 5 working days to complete the course and forward your assessment to the NRA.
NRA will issue feedback and assessment results accordingly. Once you have reached competency the NRA will issue your Statement of Attainment within 21 days.

REFUND POLICY
Refunds will only be granted through use of the Refund Application Process and in the following circumstances:
• if the Program/ course paid for is not made available to the client / student; a full refund will be granted.
• if the client / student is unable to and has not commenced the program / course in due course: 95% of course price will be refunded with 5% retained for administrative costs
Refunds will not be granted if:
• the client / student commences the program/ course and does not complete
• the client / student completes the program / course but does not submit the require evidence or is deemed ‘not yet competent’ after reasonable assistance and support.
Students/clients are welcome to inquire about refund availability, and to request a Refund Application Form.
