Productivity Places Program
The Australian Government, as part of the Skilling Australia for the Future initiative, has provided funding for the NRA to deliver a retail qualification for local job-seekers, looking for employment in the Retail Industry.
Under the Productivity Places Program, NRA are offering SIR20207 Certificate II in Retail which will be delivered part time over 10 weeks and will include 14 days of work experience in a retail environment.

This Industry-specific training will dramatically improve jobseekers’ chances of gaining employment and in turn will provide the labour-force with a pool of trained, job-ready jobseekers.
Training will be delivered in the fundamental skills needed to be successful in a retail environment:
- Communication
- Interaction
- Housekeeping
- Basic Cash Handling/Point of Sale
- Stock Control
- Safety and Security Practices
- Selling Techniques
- Visual Merchandising
Training is provided at no cost to participants who meet eligibility criteria.
To be eligible you must:
- Be an Australian Citizen
- Be over 15 years old
- Be seeking employment
- Not be in business for yourself
- Not be enrolled in full-time study
