The Hon Rob Lucas MLC, Treasurer, has declared a trading exemption this Adelaide Cup Day public holiday (Monday 14 March). The exemption means non-exempt retail shops will be able to trade anytime between 9am and 5pm, if they choose.
- Non-exempt retailers in the Adelaide CBD will be able to open an extra 2 hours from 9:00am to 11:00am, in addition to their allowable hours from 11:00am to 5:00pm.
- Retailers in the Metropolitan Shopping District and Glenelg Tourist Precinct (the Adelaide suburbs) can trade between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm.
