Appointment of a new NRA Board Member

One of the defining strengths of our association has always been the diverse range of business types and sizes represented on the National Retail Association Board. After all, if there is not a wide variety of voices at the Board table, how can the needs of all members be heard?

With this in mind, the Board has appointed a new Director, under the provisions of the National Retail Association Board Constitution, we are delighted to welcome Rob Godwin, the Director and Head of Operations for the Lovehoney Group.  As a purely online retail operator, Rob will contribute a new and important perspective to National Retail Association Board Board decision-making.

He brings a wealth of experience in modern retail, having established Lovehoney in 2013 and grown it to be one of the most successful ECommerce brands in Australia. Rob is highly experienced in driving strategic growth at a Board level and sits on a number of other retail and industry boards.

In his role at Lovehoney, Rob manages a strong team of 65, with six departmental heads covering customer service, warehousing and distribution, online trading, PR and marketing, finance, and trade sales. He was number three on the Inside Retail list of the 50 Top People in ECommerce, Australia Post Oria’s Hall of Fame Winner 2022, was awarded the Excellence in Retail Award from Retail Global and was shortlisted for multiple awards in 2023.

Rob’s appointment takes the number of National Retail Association Board Directors to eight. We welcome him to the National Retail Association Board Board and look forward to his contribution to the Association.
