NRA teams up with HELP Enterprises to boost retail Christmas jobs

The National Retail Association (NRA) has today announced a partnership with HELP Enterprises in a bid to put jobseekers from across South-East Queensland into work this Christmas.

Under the partnership, the NRA will act as a matchmaker between retailers offering casual jobs over the Christmas period and jobseekers who have been vetted by HELP for aptitude and skills.
NRA CEO Dominique Lamb said the initiative will benefit both retailers trying to meet increased demand over the busy holiday season and those seeking work.

“Christmas is the busiest time of year on the retail calendar, with many businesses looking to upscale their staffing numbers to meet increased demand. That is why the NRA has teamed up with HELP Enterprises so that we can match new job opportunities with those seeking work,” Ms Lamb said.

“All jobseekers who will be referred by the NRA have been thoroughly vetted by HELP, so retailers can be assured that they are getting a reliable staff member with the required skill sets.

“Although participants will only be employed on a casual basis, in many cases this will assist jobseekers with getting a much-needed foot in the door to paid employment.”

The Christmas casual recruitment campaign will run between now and November, further details can be found HERE.

The National Retail Association is Australia’s most representative retail industry association, with more than 24,000 shop fronts nationwide. It has been serving businesses in the retail and fast food sectors for close to 100 years.
