On 2 December 2022, the Government passed legislation introducing the most significant changes to the federal workplace relations system since the introduction of the Fair Work Act. The Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Act 2022 introduces multi-enterprise bargaining and will significantly reform the single enterprise bargaining regime, fixed-term contracts and flexible work arrangements. The Act also strengthens the prohibition against sexual harassment at or in connection with work and places a sunset on “zombie agreements.”
