NRA has been working with Salvos Stores in Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, SA, WA and NT to develop and deliver a Learning, Education and Development (LEAD) program for over 300 Area Managers and Store Managers.
The program involves for each participant:
- One face to face delivery day every month
- One webinar each month
- One support session each month to reinforce learnings
- On the job activity to reinforce learnings
- Ongoing engagement through a web portal which is used as a forum to share ideas and information
Outcomes have been really positive, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with Salvos managers to help develop their people leadership skills, and to watch them grow their talents in this area. Our research shows that this is because of the constant reinforcement built into the program and the shared learnings of the group.
This month the South Australian groups discussed how technology is impacting retail and how Salvos as an organisation is using technology in their marketing strategies and data collection, and the opportunities that this opens for them for the future to build upon their customers experience.
