Naional Retail Award

The National Retail Association has unveiled its premiere gala event on September 16 at the Star Gold Coast, with awards to recognise both retail businesses and the individuals who have excelled in the industry over the past 12 months.

This year, the award winners showcased the very best that the Australian retail industry has to offer. The judging panel had an extremely tough time deciding on the winners for each category, demonstrating the high calibre of nominees we had to offer for 2022 and acknowledging both the finalists and the winners.

The National Retail Association was fortunate to have many wonderful sponsors who helped to make the night the success it was, and special acknowledgments go to GS1 Australia for sponsoring this year’s Store Manager of the Year.

The deserving winner of the 2022 Store Manager of the year award went to Andrew Jarman from Surf Dive Ski who took home the commendable award for his focus, initiatives, customer values, and business ethic.

The Store Manager of the Year award recognises an individual store manager who sets an example of exceptional retail leadership on the front line. They run a store (online or physical) that delivers a great customer experience, employee satisfaction, and bottom-line results while demonstrating a solid understanding of their business.

The NRA welcomes the opportunity to celebrate success, and not only outstanding brands but also outstanding people. We commend all the exceptional finalists and congratulate the winners in each category for their hard work, innovation, and steely determination to put the customer in the centre.

The NRA would like to thank each of the judges for their contribution in performing the difficult task of deciding the 2022 winners and for the following finalist for their entries:

– Amy Davison | Sleepy’s
– Cassey-Leigh Robertson | QBD Books
– Chris Reynolds | Surf Dive Ski
– Samuel Black | Amart Furniture

The Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony were led with quality entertainment by Radio Host Emily Jade O’Keefe accompanied by a night of impressive music and magic from master illusionists Josh Norbido and Jason Gray and live performances from JJ & The Radio Souls who played the night away.
