HELP Employment Christmas casual recruitment

The National Retail Association (NRA) has again partnered with HELP Employment to make Christmas casual recruitment easy for South East Queensland retail and hospitality businesses. This strategic partnership will remove the guesswork in the recruitment process.

Under the partnership, the NRA will act as a matchmaker between retailers offering casual jobs over the Christmas period and jobseekers who have been vetted by HELP for aptitude and skills.

NRA CEO Dominique Lamb said the initiative was a success when launched last year, and is invaluable for retailers in the wake of COVID-19.

“Retail was tremendously impacted by the lockdown measures, and unfortunately this year will see an influx of jobseekers looking for Christmas casual work. Christmas is the busiest time of year on the retail calendar, with many businesses looking to upscale their staffing numbers to meet increased demand. That is why the NRA has teamed up with HELP Employment so that we can match new job opportunities with those seeking work,” Ms Lamb said.

“All jobseekers who will be referred by the NRA have been thoroughly vetted by HELP, so retailers can be assured that they are getting a reliable staff member with the required skill sets.

“Although participants will only be employed on a casual basis, in many cases this will assist jobseekers with getting a much-needed foot in the door to paid employment.”
