Trading Hours Queensland

Adelaide retailers should be aware that in the absence of any exemption declared by the Treasurer, trading hours for non-exempt shops in South Australia for the Labour Day public holiday on Monday, 5 October 2020 are:

  • Adelaide CBD – 11.00am to 5.00pm
  • Adelaide suburbs & Millicent – CLOSED
  • Country areas (except Millicent) – Unrestricted trading

The SA Government had previously granted trading hour exemptions during COVID-19 to support physical distancing . However shops and supermarkets were required to revert to pre-COVID-19 hours from 19 July 2020.

No information to date has been received by SafeWork SA regarding any exemptions for the upcoming October long weekend. Of note, the Treasurer did not declare any exemptions for the Labour Day public holiday in 2018 and 2019.
