The NRA’s Loss Prevention Committee is a group of loss prevention, profit and security specialists who come together from many of Australia’s retail businesses to discuss the challenges around retail crime, loss prevention and law enforcement.
The Committee is an important forum in addressing serious retail crime rather than petty theft, including prevention, training, solutions, collaboration with the authorities and mitigating the consequences.
It communicates regularly, on behalf of the retail industry, with government decision-makers and agencies, including the state Police forces, the State and Federal Attorneys-General and other enforcement agencies.
Committee meetings are held several times a year in Sydney and Brisbane.
Joining this group provides a perfect opportunity for retail loss specialists and managers to:
- Keep up to date with changes, trends and ideas in the innovation and technology space,
and trial new initiatives.
- Collaborate and learn from your peers in the retail industry and thought leaders on current issues and potential solutions.
- Engage in dialogue to provide your thoughts to generate discussions between the retail
sector and government regulators about the issues concerning your business and help shape the change or development of retail policy.
- Network and develop relationships with other marketing professionals and specialists in your field of expertise
